Why Namaste Mandu
We live in a world filled with things made quickly and replaced easily. Namaste Mandu was created for people who still appreciate something different: handmade in Nepal, shaped by hand, and carrying a sense of where it came from.
We curate authentic handmade products from Nepal — Nepalese handicrafts that are beautiful, useful and meaningful.
Rooted in Nepal
The Namaste Mandu story grew from a lifelong connection to handmade crafts from Nepal. Sony grew up around her father's handmade stores in Kathmandu, meeting Nepalese artisans, seeing customers from around the world, and watching ordinary objects become meaningful souvenirs, gifts and memories.
Years later, she found herself looking at those same Nepalese handicrafts differently. Namaste Mandu is her way of coming full circle—and sharing authentic handmade products from Nepal with others.
Meet SonyOur collection spans handmade felt, Lokta paper, singing bowls, cashmere and incense — Nepalese handicrafts chosen for their craftsmanship, authenticity and story. We aren't trying to offer everything—we're trying to offer Namaste Mandu handmade products you can feel good about bringing home.
A handmade product isn't supposed to look exactly like the one beside it. A slight variation in colour, texture, shape or finish is part of the process—and part of what makes it yours. These aren't imperfections to hide. They're reminders that this was handmade in Nepal, by hand.
Our Purpose
We exist to celebrate Nepal's rich artisan heritage by connecting skilled craftspeople with people who value authentic handmade products from Nepal. As Namaste Mandu grows, our hope is simple: create consistent work for talented artisans and small workshops, help preserve traditional skills, and introduce more people around the world to the beauty of handmade crafts from Nepal.
